Hi All! I’m Jae, an Illustrator, Designer and Animator. I pride myself on being young, black, and eager to bring a unique perspective to the world of kidlit!

Much of what I want to create is born of equal parts love and grief. Growing up has been a difficult journey, and it’s given me a new found reverence for the experience of childhood and the unique place that children have in this world. My job as an illustrator is, to put it simply, to create a world so loving, kind and beautiful, that it makes this world a little bit better just by existing. Because of this, I’ll want to end up drawing a lot of children, their houses, their friends and families, schools, expressions and emotions, displays of affection and lots and lots of love!
