Tom Shannon

Washington, USA

Tom Shannon is an illustrator whose works include 'Penny and the Stolen Chalice' (by Antony Barone Kolenc), 'Fluffles, Beebas, and Unicorns' (by Thaddeus Reichley), and 'Sometimes It Rains' (by Paul Du Fresne). Inspired by the dynamic worlds of comic books, he fell in love with narrative art, setting him on a path that would define his career. Today, he resides just outside of Seattle with his beloved son, a socially awkward dog, and a cat who may or may not answer the phone if left alone.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (with a concentration in Illustration and Graphic Design) from Western Washington University, attended Pacific Northwest College of Art, and is a member of the Society of Illustrators (New York / Los Angeles) and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Tom is a contributing illustrator for A List Apart.
